Hello and Ni Hao!

My name is Rolla. I’m passionate about living a colorful and balanced life.

I am an American born Chinese. My parents immigrated to the States from Taiwan and had their one and only child: Me on Mexican Independence Day. From Texas, we moved to Vancouver, Canada where I was immersed with my Asian heritage but not long enough for me to be able to read or write Mandarin. My family and I then moved to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This was home  where I referred as the ‘Magic Kingdom’ and spent a majority of my childhood and adolescent years. My time in Saudi Arabia was an eye-opener and rooted my deep appreciation for travel, diversity, people, culture, food, music, history, art, and fashion. During my Sophomore year of High School, I moved back to Texas where I graduated from the University of Houston with High Honors and a Master’s degree in Accounting. I wouldn’t have expected that life would come full-cycle around, back to Texas. I currently still reside in Houston, but my passion for culture and fashion continues to grow.

There are some things in life that are forever constant and there are some things that are not. I am forever grateful to God, my family and friends that have always been there. Through my life’s closing and beginnings of new chapters, I have discovered my own identity. And love to share my life journeys with you and would love to hear the same.
